Hey.. we've had some really good news..!! First off, my husband's spine stimulater test went wonderfully.. so they will be placing the permenent outfit in his back on the 12th!! I am so looking forward to him feeling better, you just can't imagine!!
Second great news!! We did really well at our latest pioneer days event and we've been invited to attend a September pioneer days event at a distant city.. This event is supposed to have 10,000 people in attendance.. and my gosh .. if we do this well at events that have attendance of a couple hundred people,,,, can you just imagine what we would do at a much bigger event.. *gasp* Oh my gosh.. I've got to get to work.. lol I'm behind now.. I'm selling stuff faster than I can make it now.. I don't know what I'm going to do... well actually I do.. I have a friend who wants to go in with me and her work meets my pain in the a** perfectionistic needs.. hehe

In the event that anyone is curious about my rather eclectic book
loves. I had over 1200 books before our fire and I will replace as many
as I can as soon as I can. I've already begun.. lol
However,
I'd love some help. The books on this list are ideas of the types of
books I had before the fire. Actually many of them are books I actually
had, but as I've browsed this online bookstore these last for hours,
I've seen tons of books that I'd like to have too...

What a weird way to live. Can't say that I'm enjoying life in a tiny camper. I'll enjoy living in the house much more, I'm sure.
Have you been reading about all of the tornadoes, earth quakes and other weather anomolies? I have and it's been frighting in an earth changes sort of way. I thought we had a few more years.. however I suppose it shouldn't be to amazing to see the earth changes happening all around us.. I can't help but wonder just how much worse it will get in the coming years. Just what will happen in 2012?? Nothing perhaps.. everything??
I've been looking for books that better explain the *end times* prophecies of different cultures.. Many of those cultures have 2012 prophecies.. this I'm aware of.. however.. the books have been limited and disappointing. Anyone have any good 2012 books??
I've discovered that there is a thief in the neighborhood. I know of at least three, possibly four, packages have been stolen from my box. The mailman says that he has delivered to the box, but we have not received the packages. The post master had us write out a complaint, which I imagine they round filed and he suggested that we file a report with the local gestapo.. who'll round file our complaint as well.. so what to do.. ya know.. it's not like I haven't kept a stiff upper lip and all that about our house fire.. but this just sucks.. folks are trying to help and I feel violated..
Eh well.. life goes on and so do we.. We sold a few goats and then traded for a young milking doe.. well milking breed anyway.. it'll be a year before she'll be ready to be milked. We also got a little bottle buckling.. He had been banned and then they took the banning off.. oh my.. not a procedure that can be undone.. he was ill and his little mandingles were swollen and infected.. poor baby.. we rebanned him and he has rebounded into good health as only a baby can..
Our chicks are all doing fine.. Yay!! Our new little pot belly boy is well.. Our three horses are well and healthy.. Even our garden is looking improved.. Now if we could just work on the house.. lol
Just dropping by to let everyone know that we are still around.. :) Still working on getting things together after the fire. Not much luck on the house though.. we've been busy with other things. I suspect that like everything else it will take longer than we'd like. I suppose that I shouldn't complain though, we could have lost the camper too.. :)
Hubby may be having surgery in the months to come. He has degenerative disk disease and his disks are damaged. The dr's can't fix him so they are considering placing a piece of equipment in his back that will send small amounts of electricity to key recepter's or nerve endings. This is supposed to relieve some of his constant pain. For now a patch is the best they can do. He has some more tests to take before they/we make this decision so I'll have to let you know how it goes.
Other than the little things that can't be helped, we are doing well..
Yes, yes.. we are doing alright.. still gathering materials to finish our house.. but we had to sell some of our goats today to help make it happen.. so I'm bummed.. isn't that silly..
Well, maybe not.. after all, we've lost nearly everything that we had and now we have to lose more just to make everything come together.. I knew we were going to sell the Boar's this spring, I guess that I just wasn't ready to do it after everything else..
I'm pouting.. lol
It might not end up being so bad when it's all said and done.. one person wants to trade one of our boar does for a dairy doe.. and since I want a few dairy does.. well there ya go.. a silver lining..
So we're still hanging in there..
Did great at the show that my husband coerced me into going to.. sold almost everything we took and had folks wanting more.. Which is great!! I didn't have much to sell and went with the attitude that I wasn't going to sell anything and so was just going to have fun.. :) Turned out much better than I thought.. even if my new pioneer dress had irish pennants.. lol
